    Hello

I am looking for the cheapest and best no-contract cell phone plan (unlimited data)
I've seen Virgin for $35 (limited to 300 min talk but can be OK), MetroPCS at $40, NET10 at $50, Straight Talk at $45, Walmart stuff at $45, etc....
Phones are LG optimus Elite, or Huawei Ascend II, or Samsung Admire, etc...

    What would you recommend?

I think it depends on what brand and type of phone you want.

It's for my wife......I would say an Android phone, to access her emails and facebook, with wifi and bluetooth
But other than that, nothing too fancy.....

I believe the LG Optimus Elite is the newest phone out of the ones you listed. If I remember correctly, it has Google Wallet, which is nice. I've used the Samsung Vitality, which is the same as the Samsung Admire, and it is a nice phone. I would recommend it to someone looking for a basic Android phone.

Virgin Mobile added a new phone recently, the Kyocera Rise. You might want to consider that phone. It is just $99.99, so it's a good deal.

I forgot to mention that T-Mobile has a plan for $30 per month which includes 5 GB of data at 4G speeds. After the first 5 GB you will have reduced speeds. I believe Virgin Mobile will reduce the speeds after 2.5 GB, so T-Mobile would give you double the amount of full speed data.
