I switched to Pure Talk because their rates were less costly than the service I was with. Unfortunately, it is one of the worst decisions I've made regarding cell phone service. I have had more problems with my account and use of phone features than I want to add up. Using the e-mail contact us form on the website is a waste of time; no-one ever replies.
I have had to call customer service many times about my voicemail password not being recognized; every time I called to have it re-set - which did not always work- I received yet another, different piece of information about why the re-set wasn't working, or given an incorrect temporary number to use.
Just yesterday, I called the customer service number to complain yet again that my voicemail password was not being recognized (it has been set and reset 4 or 5 times already). After asking me to verify the password, he rudely said that I had not said what was on record. I repeated it again, knowing I was right. His next suggestion, was to tell me to keep my phone on and remove the battery, clearly indicating he would stay on the line to talk with me about what else to do!!!
Day before yesterday I spoke with customer service about my account, got information I had not gotten from the website, and had time added to my phone. Today when I tried to text a friend, I was told I did not have enough time left on my account to make the call; trust me, I did not use over 450 minutes in one day.
I will be going to my local AT&T store later today to complain yet again, insist that they remove me from Pure Talk and refund me every dime they owe me.
Pure Talk is an AT&T service.

Thanks for providing some feedback. I'm confused though. The rep told you to remove the battery on the phone that you were using to talk to him on? Did you mean he wouldn't stay on the line (not would)?

Unfortunately, I meant what I wrote. He implied he would stay on the line. In retrospect, I wonder if it was his way of getting rid of a persistent customer who kept calling for the same problem over and over?
