Better Android Facebook App (more like BlackBerry)

I'm really disappointed in the Android facebook application. I absolutely loved how seamless the BlackBerry facebook app was, but the Android app just doesn't do the same.

There are several things that the Android Facebook app is missing:

• Easily get and reply to inbox messages
• Get Notifications without e-mail or SMS / easily reply to notifications
• View comments on pictures
• Receive and reply to event invites
• Ability to sync Facebook events and birthdays with Android calendar
• Ability to sync with contacts on more than just name

What do you think? Am I missing something?

there is an app called Bloo

it will give you notifications in the notification bar

you should check into it

bloo doesn't let you respond to messages, but there is a new one with a paid and free version that is called "Babbler" in the market. the program can require you to manually authorize it to your Facebook account but it is pretty awesome and is better than the official app. Babbler does let you message and see notifications and has an interesting interface.
