Mireo DON'T PANIC is a GPS Navigation app that uses TOMTOM maps and is about 10x cheaper than TOMTOM. I have tried many GPS apps and this one seems to work the fastest for a great price. The maps are saved on your SD card, so no roaming costs while on the road. The voices are loud and clear and the interface is very easy to use and clean. They also use landmarks and FOURSQUARE integration.
They currently have a christmas sale going now with 60% discount on all maps!

Also they are running a best photo competition where you can win a free WiFi camera: http://www.facebook.com/MireoGPS?sk=...app_data=dlt-1

Re: Cheapest GPS Navigation app found that uses TOMTOM maps
That looks nice, but I think I'll stick with Google Navigation since it is free and is also updated. It is nice to have a selection though. I would consider trying it if it was free and ad supported.

trail is for a few days to test everything and you won't waste your internet connecting with google navigator because maps are stored on the SD

Re: Cheapest GPS Navigation app found that uses TOMTOM maps
That's a great feature. It would be nice if Google would allow the maps to be stored on the MicroSD card. I'm thinking it will probably be updated in time and will allow something like that.
For those that need the maps stored now, and cannot wait for an update from Google (that might never come), then it looks like that might be a good option.
How do you like the application?

Re: Cheapest GPS Navigation app found that uses TOMTOM maps
I haven't tried it because I don't travel often and it wouldn't be worth paying $10 for. I don't usually download any free trials because I know they will stop working and I'll need to pay or uninstall it, so I usually just stick with free applications, even if they're ad supported.

Re: Cheapest GPS Navigation app found that uses TOMTOM maps
Do you need to type in an exact address with this application or can you type in "Pizza Hut" (for example) and have it send you to the closest Pizza Hut without a data connection? How often are the Points of Interests updated? How often are the maps updated?
