treo 650 and real tones?

I havent bought a card to store any music or anything for my phone, but when i do will i be able to use a song as a ring tone? Or will i have to download something to allow to do this?

If so does anyone know what program, sorry im new to this and just got the phone today, still figuring everything out

ok i did some searching and 5 minutes (yea shoulda done this first lol) and came up with downloading ringo to my phone and this http://cellphoneforums.net/t2343.html

would this enable me to cut certain parts of songs and upload it to my treo card and then set it as a ring tone? (say its so )

I have a 600, I thought the 650 was enabled to play MP3s... if not then maybe you can download Ringo... that's what I have to play MP3s tones on my phone... http://www.electricpocket.com/products/ringo.html hope this helps ya!

i can get mp3s but cant set them as ringtones...i dont think phones new to me still but ringo allows you to set them as tones right?

Yup! Just be aware... as soon as I put Ringo onto my phone the stupid thing resets alot more.
I think the next time I upgrade my phone I am not going to get a Treo. The thing isn't the greatest. I mean, I love it and all but it ALWAYS resets and I have problems with it reading the card sometimes. A palm is meant to be seperate from the phone... that's my feelings.

I have a treo 650 with an MP3 ringtone, and even on the highest setting, its not loud at all. Does anyone know if it is the phone, or the quality of the ringtone?
