I bought a treo from someone and sprint is saying that it was stolen and will not turn it on. Is there anything I can do or did I waste $300 dollars

Sorry to say, this is a pretty common question. Look for a detailed answer in this thread. Try to get your money back for the Treo, hopefully you paid with paypal or a credit card you can dispute the charges. Unfortunately, there is very little that can be done to activate that phone unless you get a really sympathetic and understanding rep (face to face in a store) who has some leverage with a good connection to Sprint. It's highly unlikely, but not impossible or unheard of. Good luck.

do you have insurance? I personally dont think it would be right to be stuck with a mistake that is your fault(if you didnt have it it wouldnt be stolen). Hopefully you can get 1 off ebay for cheap other wise i guess you are sol

I dont think most companies provide insurance nowadays for high valued phones because of fraud, I lost my blackberry and they didnt want to insure it when I got it!
