As of today, Palm is supposedly doing away with the mail in rebates for Verizon handsets so they can increase their sales and prevent losing money with these rebates. Half the time, customers forget to send the rebates or just doesn't feel like mailing the rebate in.

Palm is hoping by eliminating the mail in rebates, this will help them sell more Palm devices.
