I have a Palm Pre and will be traveling to Europe next month. I understand I can't use the phone, but can I use it as a wireless device - sort of like an ipod Touch - when I'm travelling? I'd like to access aps like currency converter, GPS, etc. Can I "turn off" data and just use wireless? Lastly, will this cost a fortune?

Re: Using wireless internationally
To use a wireless feature it should not cost anything extra since wireless is not part of your data. I would assume apps would still work since they are installed to your device. Just do not make any calls or browse the web since that will cost you bucket loads.
