Taking a Photo


1. From the lock screen or Home screen open your Camera app.
2. Frame your subject and wait for the camera to adjust the focus.
3. When ready, tap the Capture icon.

Switching Between the Front and Main Camera

1. Open your Camera and then tap Settings.
2. Tap Camera and select Front or Main, as desired.

Note: Certain features (such as face detection or zooming) are not available when using the front camera.

Choosing an Effect

You have various effects to choose from if you wish to make your photos look as if they’ve been taken through special filters or lenses, and you can even apply some of these effects to your videos.

1. While on the Viewfinder screen, tap the Effects icon.
2. Then select the effect that you’d like to use.

Changing the Resolution

1. From the Viewfinder screen tap Settings.
2. Then tap Video quality or Image resolution, as desired and select the image resolution that you wish to use.

Taking Continuous Shots


Note: You first need to make sure you are in the Auto scene otherwise you won’t be able to use this feature.

1. From the Viewfinder, tap and hold the Capture icon. The camera of your HTC One SV will take up to 20 consecutive shots.
2. After you took pictures using continuous shooting, you can select the Best shot of the batch, and then delete any other picture you don’t want to keep.

Tip: In case you don’t want to be limited by just 20 pictures that you can take when continuously shooting, then while in the Viewfinder, tap Settings -> Continuous shooting -> then clear the option to Limit to 20 frames.

Setting a Photo as Background

1. Go to the Home screen and tap Apps.
2. Then tap Gallery and select the album where your desired picture is located in.
3. Select the image that you wish to use and tap the screen.
4. Then select More -> tap Set as -> choose Wallpaper.
5. You can also resize the photo by dragging the edges of the box.
6. When ready, tap Save.

Sharing Photos

1. Go to the Home screen and tap Apps.
2. Then tap Gallery and select the album where your desired picture is located in.
3. Select the desired image then tap Share.
4. Now select the sharing method that you wish to use. For example, you can choose from Facebook, Twitter, Messages and Mail. Or tap See all… in case the sharing method that you want to use isn’t there.
5. After you’ve selected the sharing method, simply use the on-screen prompts to send or upload the image.

Recording Videos

1. Go to the Home screen and tap Camera.
2. Then switch from Camera mode to Video mode by tapping the Camrecorder icon.
3. At any time during the recording you can tap the Shuttericon to take a picture.
4. Once you are done with the recording, just tap the Record icon.

Transferring Photos to Your Computer

1. Connect your HTC One SV to your computer via the MicroUSB cable.
2. Select Disk drive when prompted.
3. On your computer click Open device to view files. You will now have access to the date stored on your smartphone.
4. Go to the location of your photos and drag and drop the desired images from your smartphone to the computer by copy-pasting.
