Changing the Ringtone, Notification and Alarm Sounds:

  1. From the home screen, swipe the "status" bar down using two fingers
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Go to "Personalize"
  4. Under "Sound", tap "Ringtone", select the desired ringtone and tap "Apply"
  5. Tap "Notification sound", tap the desired option and tap "Apply"
  6. Tap "Alarm", choose the desired alarm and press "Apply"

Changing the Home Wallpaper:

  1. While viewing a home screen, tap and hold an empty space
  2. Select "Home screen wallpaper" from the pop-up menu
  3. Select the location of the wallpaper:
    • Tap "Gallery" to crop, resize and set a wallpaper from your pictures, and tap "Done"
    • Tap "Computer photos" to use "HTC Get Started" and select a photo from your computer

Customizing the Launch Bar:

The launch bar can be used to place four of the most used shortcuts, giving you one-touch access to the desired applications. All the icons in the launch bar except for the "All Apps" icon can be replaced.

  1. While on a home screen, tap and hold the icon that you wish to remove
  2. Drag the icon on top of the "Trash can" icon and release it
  3. Tap the "Apps" icon
  4. From the apps drawer, tap and hold an app, and drag it on top of the empty area on the launch bar
  5. Release the app to lock it into place

Adding a Widget to the Home Screen:

  1. Press and hold an empty area on the home screen
  2. From the pop-up menu, tap "Add apps and widgets"
  3. Tap the "arrow down" button and select "Widgets"
  4. Browse through your widgets, or use the "Search" function to find the desired one
  5. Tap and hold the widget that you wish to add, and drag > drop it on top of the desired home screen panel

Changing the Settings of, and Resizing a Widget:

Certain widgets can be modified (such as the "People" widget) by accessing their settings menu. To do this:

  1. Press and hold a widget existing on your home screen
  2. Drag the widget on top of the "Settings" icon and drop it
  3. Customize the widget's properties as you see fit
  4. To resize a widget, tap and hold it while on the home screen
  5. If a border appears, this means that the widget can be resized. Drag the borders to shrink or enlarge the widget

Adding Shortcuts to the Home Screen:

  1. While on a home screen, tap and hold an empty area
  2. Select "add apps and widgets"
  3. Tap the button shaped like a triangle pointing downwards, and select "Apps" or "Shortcuts"
  4. Browse through the apps / shortcuts, or use the "Search" option to find the desired one
  5. Press and hold a shortcut, and drag > drop it on top of the desired home screen

Adding / Removing Home Screens:

NOTE: If BlinkFeed is enabled, home screens cannot be added before the BlinkFeed panel.

  1. Tap and hold an empty area on the home screen
  2. In the pop-up menu, select "Manage home screen pages"
  3. Swipe left and tap the "+" icon to add a new home screen
  4. To remove a home screen, swipe to it and tap "Remove"
  5. Press the "Back" button when done editing

Changing the Main Home Screen:

You can set HTC BlinkFeed or any other panel as the main home screen. To do so:

  1. Press and hold an empty area on a home screen
  2. Select "Manage home screen pages"
  3. Swipe right or left until you reach the panel that you wish to set as the main one
  4. Tap "Set as home" and press the "back" button

Creating Folders on the Home Screen or Launch Bar:

  1. From the home screen or the app drawer, tap and hold the desired application
  2. Drag the app on top of another one, in order to create a folder (on the home screen, in the app drawer or on the launch bar)
  3. Tap a folder to open it, and tap the title bar to edit the folder's name
  4. To add more apps, open the folder, tap "+", select the desired apps and press "Done"
  5. To remove an app from a folder, open it, then tap and hold the shortcut and drag it on top of the "Trash can" icon
