Transferring Contacts via Google:

You can sync the contacts stored on the HTC One Mini with your Google account, allowing you to then re-sync the contacts from the account with the One Mini 2. This is an easy and common method of transfer, and it doesn't require access to a computer.

  1. Sign in with your Google account on the HTC One Mini
  2. From the home screen, swipe the "Status" bar down with two fingers
  3. Tap "Settings"
  4. Under "Personal", tap "Accounts & sync"
  5. Tap "Google" and select an account
  6. Clear and mark the "Contacts" check box. Alternatively, press the "Menu" icon located in the top-right corner and tap "Sync all"
  7. Switch over to the HTC One Mini 2 and register the same Google account as the one used on the One Mini
  8. Tap "Apps" on the Mini 2, and go to "Settings"
  9. Tap "Accounts & sync", select the Google account and allow it to sync contacts

Using the "Import / Export" Function:

Using the HTC "People" application, you can export the contacts stored on the One Mini as a VCF file, which can then be sent to the One Mini 2 and imported via the same application. The transfer can be done via email, or through a computer, as explained below:

  1. Open the "People" app on the One Mini
  2. From the "People" tab, tap "Menu"
  3. Select "Manage contacts" and tap "Import / Export contacts"
  4. Tap "Export to phone storage" and choose an account
  5. Before tapping "OK" in the confirmation window, make sure you write down the file's name and path
  6. Launch your email client and start a new email
  7. Attach the VCF file to the email, and send it to your own Gmail address
  8. Switch over to the One Mini 2 and open the email containing the file
  9. Download the vCard file and launch the "People" application
  10. From the app, tap "Menu" > "Import / Export contacts" > "Import from storage"
  11. Locate the vCard file and load its contents to the Mini 2's phonebook

NOTE: Once you have created the VCF file on the One Mini, you can transfer it to the Mini 2 using a computer. All you need to do is connect both smartphones to the PC via USB, and then manually transfer the file from one phone's storage to the other

Transferring Contacts via "Send Anywhere":

If you're looking for a third party application with the help of which you can transfer your contacts from one smartphone to another, then "Send Anywhere" might be the answer. This is an app that has the ability to transfer contacts and various other types of files via a P2P connection. To perform this method:

  1. Visit the Play Store and install "Send Anywhere" on both smartphones
  2. After the app has been installed, launch it on both handsets
  3. From the One Mini, tap "Send" > "Contacts"
  4. Select the contacts that you wish to share and tap "Send"
  5. Finally, select a method of contact transfer. By tapping "Generate QR Code" on the One Mini, you can create a QR code which can be scanned with the One Mini 2's camera to begin the transfer. Alternatively, you can select "Receive" on the Mini 2, and enter the transfer code that has been randomly generated on the One Mini
