Using iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with Internet access, you can transfer the contacts on the iPhone to your Google account. Then you can sync the account data with the HTC device.

  1. Launch iTunes on the computer
  2. Connect the iPhone to your PC via USB
  3. Once connected, the iPhone will appear in iTunes. Click it to view the summary page
  4. Access the “Info” tab and enable “Sync Contacts With
  5. From the drop-down menu, select “Google Contacts
  6. Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account if applicable
  7. Click “Apply” and wait for the sync to complete
  8. Once done, register the same Google account on the HTC device and allow it to sync contacts with your phone

Using iCloud:

NOTE: In case you’ve previously used the iCloud backup service on your iPhone, your contacts should already be backed up on your iCloud account. As such you can access your account on a computer connected to the Internet, and export the contacts in vCard file format.

  1. Launch the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account
  4. Access “Contacts” and tick the check boxes associated with the desired contacts
  5. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard
  6. After you have downloaded the vCard file, import it to “Google Contacts” or skip this step and instead:
  7. Connect the HTC device to your computer using the USB cable, and copy the vCard file to the phone storage. Then, import its contents via “People

Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: In case you are looking for methods to transfer contacts without needing a computer, you can rely on third party apps, such as My Contacts Backup. This is an iOS app that can be used to back up and transfer contacts via email.

  1. Open the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
  2. Open the app and tap “Backup
  3. Once the backup is complete, tap “Email
  4. Make sure the vCard backup file is attached to the email, and send it to your own address
  5. Switch to the HTC device and open the email
  6. Download the attached vCard file from the mail, and import its contents using “People

Via “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Send Anywhere is a third party application for Android and iOS that allows you to share contacts and other types of files without the need of a computer.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on your iPhone
  2. From the Google Play Store, install the same app on the HTC phone
  3. Open the application on both devices
  4. Tap “Send” > “Contacts” on the iPhone
  5. Select the contacts you want to share and tap “Send
  6. Choose a transfer method. Ex: you can tap “Receive” on the HTC device and enter the transfer code from the iPhone. You could also tap “Generate QR Code” on the iPhone and scan the code with the HTC phone’s camera to begin the transfer
