I have the opportunity to get a HTC Touch smartphone that is unlocked. It say that operates on Network: GSM/GPRS/EDGE Tri-band: 900, 1800, 1900. I am an AT&T customer and I live in Mississippi. I want to know if this phone will work for my needs.
I read that the network listed above is for European cell phones, and that they would only work in select areas in America. Thanks for the help, and I don't know much about this kind of thing so any help would be appreciated.

Re: Help with a HTC Touch
I think AT&T uses 1900 so it would work in the USA - but a Tri-band phone should work almost everywhere in the world

Re: Help with a HTC Touch
I have been having the same problem. usually a soft reset, or a complete reformat does the trick. unfortunately backing up information is crucial
