I expected a little more from this phone. It seems that every time I open it, it stumbles on something. Most of the time going between vertical and horizontal modes.
Anyone have any tips to speed the phone up?

Re: Slow HTC Touch Pro
I just figured out that since I have a Verizon Touch Pro that it actually has a slower processor and a little less ram then the other versions out there. This is one reason Touchflo3d isn't enabled by default.
So... I guess the solution is to leave touchflo 3d off. grrr

Re: Slow HTC Touch Pro
You should also make sure you don't have a lot of programs running in the background. That will help a little with the speed. You need to turn your phone off and back on once a day and anytime you have gone outside your normal calling area. This helps your phone communicate with the towers. You need to clear the cookies and cache on your phone too.
Sprint has a great website that anyone can access. It is sprint.com/learn. You click on the picture of your device and it takes you to a page that has tutorials, user guide, etc. If you choose tutorials it will list almost anything you could want to do with the phone. You select on of the topics and it will bring up a virtual phone that will show you step by step what selections you need to make to perform the function you are trying to do. It's very helpful. Then there's always HTC.com
Hope that helps.

Re: Slow HTC Touch Pro
I really consider looking up options on how to mod the phone for performance. You can find great tutorials on how to improve performance.
Look up XDA-Developers / Rapheal
They have a lot of tweaks that get rid of this issue.

Re: Slow HTC Touch Pro
Another site that works with XDA Developers is Smartphonejunkie They are very focused on HTC hardware. You can find a lot of useful information there, tips, and tweaks. And if you are willing, how to dig deeper into your phone to unlock a lot of potential. A smartphone is like a new computer, it has a little bit of everything, even though you won't use most of it (it has to handle lots of customers). Unlike a PC it's hard to get rid of the unwanted things and keep the wanted.

also think about putting on oxios memory which is freeware and will close running thing in the background for you.
