News: Android 2.3 Gingerbread rolling out to Telus Canada's HTC Desire HD

For those who own an HTC Desire HD and are on Telus Canada, great news! The HTC Desire HD is now getting updated to Android 2.3 Gingerbread. There will no more tiresome months waiting for the update as it is already rolling out.

The Android 2.3 Gingerbread update will be done OTA (over the air) and you will be notified, via your device, when the update is available. The update will use up 99.68MB, so you will probably want to do the downloading using Wi-Fi.


The Android update will not include the Sense 3.0 UI but you will have the newest running Android. For those who have rooted their device or have a custom ROM running on your phone, you may not receive the notification.
