Importing Contacts from the SIM Card:
- Tap the "People" icon located on the home screen
- While viewing the "People" tab, tap the "menu" icon and select "Manage contacts"
- Tap "Import / Export contacts" and then select "Import from SIM card"
- Assuming that you have a Google or Exchange ActiveSync account, select the type for the imported contacts
- Select the contacts that you wish to import and then tap "Save"
Importing a Contact From an Exchange ActiveSync Account:
- Access the "People" app and go to the "People" tab
- Tap the search box and type in the contact's name or email address
- Tap "Search contacts in your Company Director"
- Touch the name of the contact that you wish to copy
- Tap "+" to import the contact
Copying Contacts From One Account To Another:
- Access the "People" app
- From the "People" tab, tap the "menu" icon and select "Manage contacts"
- Tap "Copy contacts" and then select an online account or contact type to copy from
- Select a contact type or account that you wish to copy the contact to
Backing Up Contacts to the Storage Card:
- Access the "People" app and tap the "People" tab
- Tap "Menu" and then select "Manage contacts"
- Tap "Import / Export contacts"
- Select "Export to Storage card"
- Choose an account or type of contacts to export, and then tap "OK"
Restoring Contacts:
Note: you can only restore contacts that have been backed up to the storage card by using the "Export to SD card" feature
- Access the "People" app and go to the "People" tab
- Tap the "Menu" icon on the screen
- Select "Manage contacts"
- Tap "Import / Export contacts" > "Import from Storage card"
- Assuming that you have multiple accounts set up, select the one for the imported contacts
Merging / Separating Contact Information:
- On the "People" tab in the People app, tap the name of the contact that you wish to link
- Tap the "Link" icon
- Press "All contacts" and then select the contact that you wish to link
- To break a link, tap the "link" icon and under "Linked contacts", tap the "link" icon associated with the account that you wish to separate
Deleting Contacts:
- Access the "People" app
- Go to the "People" tab and tap the "Menu" icon
- Tap "Delete contacts"
- Select the contacts that you wish to remove, then tap "Delete"
Managing Contact Groups
Creating a Contact Group:
- Open the "People" app
- Tap the "Groups" tab
- Tap the "+" icon
- Enter a name for the group
- Optionally, tap the "Camera" icon to select and assign a photo for the group
- Press the "menu" icon
- Tap "Add contact to group"
- Select the contacts that you wish to add to the group, then tap "Save"
- After editing the contact's group, tap "Save"
Editing a Contact Group:
- While viewing the "Groups" tab (in the "People" app), tap "Edit group" and:
- Tap the group's name to change it
- Tap the icon next to the group's name to assign, remove or change the group photo
- Tap the "menu" icon > "Add contact to group" if you wish to add more contacts
- Tap and hold the button located at the end of each contact's name, then drag it if you wish to reposition it
- Tap the "X" button to remove a contact from the group
- Press "Save" to save the changes done to the group
Deleting a Group:
- Access the "Groups" tab in the "People" app
- Tap and hold the group that you wish to delete
- Select "Delete group"
- Alternatively, you can tap the "menu" icon > "Edit groups" and select more than one groups that you wish to remove
