Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:
- Connect the HTC Desire 728 to your computer via USB
- Drag the “notification” bar down and make sure “Media data (MTP)” is enabled
- From the AutoPlay window on the computer, double-click to “view files and folders”
- Launch a second Explorer window and locate the desired audio files on your PC
- Copy the files and paste them in the first Explorer window on the phone storage, preferably in the “Notifications” / “Ringtones” folder(s)
- Once the transfer is done, click “Mass Storage Device” in the system tray to eject the phone storage
- Safely disconnect the phone from the USB
Change the General Ringtone:
- Tap “Apps” on the home screen
- Go to “Settings”
- Tap “Personalize” > “Ringtone”
- Select the ringtone you want to use and tap “Apply”
Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:
NOTE: You cannot set custom ringtones to contacts stored on the SIM card or the phone’s internal memory.
- Open the apps drawer
- Launch “People” and select the desired contact
- Tap “Ringtone”
- Select the desired ringtone and tap “Apply”
Change the Notification Sound:
- Access the “Settings” screen
- Tap “Sound & notifications”
- Tap “Notification sound”
- Tap the notification sound you want to use
- Press “Apply”
