Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:
- Establish a USB connection between the Desire 825 and computer
- On the phone’s home screen, slide the “Status” bar down
- Make sure the connection is set to “disk drive” or “Media device (MTP)”
- Open the File Explorer on the computer
- Use the Explorer to locate the desired audio files on your PC
- Copy the files and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones” / “Notifications” folders in the “Media” directory
- After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
Set a Custom Ringtone:
- Open the apps drawer
- Access “Settings”
- Tap “Personalize”
- Go to “Ringtone” and select the ringtone you want to use
- Tap “Apply” to confirm the changes
Set a Custom Ringtone for a Specific Contact:
NOTE: You cannot set custom ringtones for contacts located on the phone’s internal memory or the SIM Card.
- Tap “Apps” on the home screen
- Open “People”
- Select the contact you want to edit
- Tap “Ringtone”
- Select the desired ringtone and tap “Apply”
Change the Notification Alert:
- Go to “Settings”
- Scroll to and tap “Sound & notifications”
- Tap “Notification sound”
- Select the notification alert you want to use
- Tap “Apply” to confirm
