Back Up Application Data:

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Open “Settings” and scroll to “Personal
  3. Tap “Backup and reset
  4. If necessary, tap “Backup account” and select “Google account” > “Add account
  5. Sign in with the Google account you want to use for the backup
  6. Turn on “Back up my data” and “Backup account

Back Up Contacts Using a Google or HTC Account:

  1. Ensure the phone is connected to a Wi-Fi network
  2. Open the apps drawer and access “Settings
  3. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup and reset
  4. Tap “Backup account
  5. Select “Google account” or “HTC account
  6. To perform daily backups over Wi-Fi, turn on “Automatic backup
  7. To back up contacts manually, tap “Back up now

Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

  1. Establish a USB connection between the HTC Desire 630 and PC
  2. On the phone’s home screen, swipe the “Status” bar down
  3. Enable “Media device (MTP)
  4. On the computer, launch the File Explorer
  5. Use the explorer to locate the media files on your phone
  6. Copy the files and transfer them in the desired backup location on your computer
  7. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray
  8. Safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

Back Up Media Files on a Mac:

  1. Connect the Desire 630 to your Mac via USB
  2. Access the phone’s “Notification” area and enable “Media device (MTP)
  3. On the Mac, open the file explorer and locate the media files on your phone
  4. Copy the files and paste them in the desired backup location on the Mac
  5. After the transfer is complete, drag the phone’s virtual drive from the desktop and into the “Trash can” to eject it
  6. You can now safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
