Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:
- Connect the HTC Desire 628 to your computer via USB
- At the prompt, enable “Media device (MTP)” or “File Transfer (MTP)”, otherwise swipe the “Status” bar down on the home screen and enable the option from the “notification” area
- On the computer, open the File Explorer
- Locate the desired audio files on the PC
- Copy the files and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones” / “Notifications” folders
- After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
Change the General Ringtone:
- Open the apps drawer
- Launch “Settings”
- Under “Personalize”, tap “Ringtone”
- Select the desired ringtone and tap “Apply”
Set a Custom Ringtone to a Specific Contact:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be set to contacts located on the SIM card or the device’s internal memory.
- Tap “Apps” on the home screen
- Open “People” and select the desired contact
- Tap “Ringtone” and select the ringtone you want to use
- Tap “Apply” to save the changes
Change the Notification Alert:
- Go to “Settings”
- Scroll to and tap “Sound & Notifications”
- Tap “Notification sound” and select the notification alert you want to set
- Tap “Apply”
