Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:
- Connect the HTC U Play to your computer via USB
- Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer and locate the desired audio files on the PC storage
- Copy and transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones” / “Notifications” folder(s)
- After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
Change the General Ringtone:
- Tap “Apps” on the home screen
- Go to “Settings”
- Access “Personalize” and tap “Ringtone”
- Select the desired ringtone and tap “Apply” to confirm
Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:
NOTE: You cannot set custom ringtones for contacts stored on the phone’s internal memory or the SIM card.
- Open the apps drawer
- Launch “People”
- Select the desired contact
- Tap “Ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
- Tap “Apply”
Change the Notification Alert Sound:
- Launch “Settings”
- Scroll to and tap “Sounds & Notifications”
- Tap “Notification sound”
- Select the desired notification alert and tap “Apply”
