Sync iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, and contacts, with the Android device.

  1. Launch iTunes on the computer
  2. Connect the iPhone to your computer via USB
  3. In iTunes, click the iPhone and go to “Info
  4. Enable “Sync Contacts With” and select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Sign in with your Google account, or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  7. Once the sync is done, switch to the HTC One X10 and register the same Google account in iTunes
  8. Allow the account to sync contacts with your Android phone

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:

NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts have been backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet, and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account
  4. Go to “Contacts” and select the desired contacts you want to share
  5. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard
  6. After the vCard is downloaded, follow one of these steps:
    • Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to “Google contacts”, or:
    • Connect the HTC device to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage, and use “People” to import it to your phonebook

Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: While the two methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can transfer your iPhone contacts using third party applications. My contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Go to the App Store and install “My contacts Backup” on the iPhone
  2. Open the app and tap “Backup” to create a vCard containing your iPhone contacts
  3. Once done, tap “Email
  4. Make sure the vCard is attached to the email and send it to your own address
  5. On the HTC device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  6. Import the vCard to your phonebook using “People

Via “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Another third party-app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on both iOS and Android. The application uses a peer-2-peer connection to transfer contacts and other types of files without requiring a computer.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Go to the Google Play Store and install the same app on the HTC device
  3. Launch the app on both devices
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts
  5. Select the desired contact and tap “Send
  6. Lastly, select the desired transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the transfer
