I just upgrade (???) this phone and want to use the phone for a modem with a
WinXP laptop with iR. My old Nokia 3360 worked this way and I was lead to
believe I can do the same with the 6200 ( I only upgraded so I could
increase my connection speeds as 9600bps is so sloooooow). I downloaded the
PC Suite from Nokia for the 6200 and I can connect thru iR and WinXP sees it
fine and can browse the phone pictures and tones. Trouble is when I go to
connect using *99# the phone screen reads something to the effect Not
authorized on network but from the phone it works great to web surf. I
called customer service and even talked with a tech and I was told I need
the data connect kit from cingular to be able to do what I am trying to
accomplish as it is "not fully Bluetooth supported to use the iR port" so
needless to say I am unimpressed! My second question relates to being able
to dial as CSD (at least I think that is what I need to do) and connect with
my home ISP (was able to dial with old 3360 of course @9600 bps) I enter
info and it does dial but it seems to hang up instantly as the screen shows
calling then goes back to info screen. Am I missing something for this to
work (feature added to account or setting on phone laptop??) I almost feel I
took a step backwards as I was able to go to any website with laptop dialing
up with 3360 (although 9600bps) as modem but now when I try with the 6200
(currently 0 BPS) I cannot connect at all! I need to know specifics if
possible (account features, phone and laptop settings) as I have been
getting the run around with this. Sorry so long but thanks for reading and
    any constructive replies!

    Frank,
I have the exact same setup you have and after a lot of trial and error I
was able to establish a connection.
Assuming you have installed the PC Suite software, you should have a "Nokia
Modem Options" icon in your Control Panel.
Select this icon and you should see your phone listed there. At the bottom
make sure that you have "wap.cingular" entered in for the GPRS Access Point.
All the other setup information should be listed in the PC Suite
    instructions.
Make sure you are using the correct user name and password
    User Name - [email protected]
    Password - CINGULAR1
    Good luck.
