You should visit Dave Markson's New England wireless site, which
summarizes it well. http://markson.net/cell_phones.htm There are
two maps for SuperHome plans, GSM and TDMA/GAIT.
Also see Andrew Shepard's maps of Cingular-ATTWS corridor
cooperation, building on routes in Vermont and New Hampshire.
http://people.ku.edu/~cinema/wireless/GSM-C.html They are
cooperating on building 1900 MHz GSM.

Depends whether you're asking about TDMA/AMPS or GSM roaming. For
TDMA/AMPS, Cingular Preferred Nation customers roam as follows:
MA/RI/CT: Cingular covers all three states natively
VT: free roam on RCC
NH: native coverage in Portsmouth (Rockingham county)
free roam on ATTWS in Rochester (Strafford county)
free roam on RCC in the western half of the state, including
Berlin, Lebanon, and Keene
paid roam on USCC in the reaminder of the state, including
Laconia, Concord, and Manchester
ME: free roam on ATTWS in Augusta/Portland/Sanford
free roam on ATTWS in Ellsworth/Machias
paid roam on USCC in Lewiston
free roam on RCC in the remainder of the state, including Bangor
Hope this helps.
