Hi Guys,
I am thinking of trying Cingular. I know it stinks, but the price is
right with an SBC package, so I figure I'd try it.
Now here is my question? Is there a backout period, like where I can
backout of the contract without penalty if I get ****ty coverage, for
example at my house?
Thanks,
Stephan

Sounds like you have already decided, so why bother?

There is definitely a backout period, but I don't know what it is. As is
typical of most carriers, it will be at least 14 days, you maybe have to pay
some portion of the first month's service bill, and there's also a good
chance they will make you pay the activation fee.
Just call a local cingular store and ask what their return period is.

Actually, if you buy a used phone or a phone at full retail, Cingular
offers you the option of not having a contract, and picking from the
same plans that contract customers get, including night/weekend minutes.
If you take the no contract option, the back out time is however long
you want it to be.

Re: Guarantee/backout period?
If you bothered to go to the website and check the return policy, you
would see that it is 15 days, but it is a little complicated so go
read it. Cingular does not stink, I've had it since the Ameritech
days.
