Some of Cingular's maps make it look like they have no GSM service at
Key West. Is this true? If so, would I be able to roam on AT&T or
T-Mobile?
If Cingular does have their own GSM service down there, is it 850 or
1900?
I am trying to figure whether I should bring my GAIT phone or my 3650.
Thanks.

It would depend on your plan.

Cingular has a cellular (800/850) B license in that part of Florida, so
there is most likey native GSM 850 service there.

I would bring both, and try the 3650 first. If not, you still have a
back up, and it's not that large to bring the extra phone.

I know this isn't much help, but I've been going to KW since 99 and all
of the Bell South/Cingular phones I've had, have worked fine down there.
I'm a bit clueless on the GSM/GAIT stuff. I've had a T61, a T28z, and
some old Motorola thing.

I guess I will bring my 3650 in case I can roam and my GAIT phone if
all else fails.
Thanks.

T-Mo has GSM1900 in the Florida Keys. As long as your rate plan
supports roaming you'll have GSM coverage. Cingular probably has
GSM850 live there, but I haven't looked lately.
