OK, so I've got my favorite ringtones. Now, can I attach them to an incoming text message on my z600?

I looked at the message alerts but it doesn't seem to allow you to customise them, merely to choose one of six.

What I really want to do is make a particular jingle (that I've downloaded as midi) play when a particular friend texts me.

    Any ideas?

    BTW, love the midi ringtones!

Sadly this is one of the few places where SE dropped the ball with the
Z600. The T68 series had it even worse; a choice of silence, a click, or
one alert tone. Users asked why they couldn't use the composer to create
    message alert tones.

Along come SE's new range of phones with... a choice of half a dozen
alert sounds. And still no composer or MIDI option. D'oh!

Yes, message alerts notwithstanding this phone has a cracking sound
system. How companies are still managing to charge upward of 3 quid for
a ringtone when you can download a free MIDI and convert it on the fly
    with Bluetooth is frightening.

Idiots keep paying for them, unfortunately. If the market would go away,
    they would to.
