If it happens to ALL my phone, i would agree with u.
But it only happens to T610. In which case I would say it's more of a Lousy

Can't get the FMA to connect to the phone using bluetooth, only IR works.
Mine's the same, F8T003, not too sure of ver.
What setting did u put ?
Using the Native Bluetooth Option or the Serial Port one ?
And how u get abt to connect ?

    Thanks !

    Yes. Precisely.
Why doesn't it comes with it in the first place ?
    Nokia Suite Comes with Everything.
For SE, u gotta use some other 3rd party software.
And the author's not obligated to update it, patched it for any new version
of the phone, unlike a software from the Phone Manufacture.

That's true, of course. But if I have a phone, the major issue
is making phone calls - at least for me ... YMMV. ;o)

Yes, I know - but this doesn't change the fact that you have to
touch the phone to see if s/th is pending. This way you cannot
get aware of a missed call by just a sidelong glance.

    Hello.

The T610 is a good phone but get the T630 if you can as the screen is much
easier to read outside. If you opt for cable control as I did, make sure
you download the 'Float Download agent" and the christersson.org sendfile
program. These allow you to send and receive info from the phone easily -
something you cannot do with a cable and the Sony software.

Nope, would have to agree with you there, making phone calls is always the
    first priority.

Well, I run several other brands as well including Simens, Samsung &
<shudders> Motorola. To be fair, the Siemens do seem to have the best
reception of all my phones, and the more basic mono models have superb
battery life. However, all that's not much use if the featureset doesn't
come up to scratch. Again, the T610 I personally find no worse than any
other handset - it's better in some areas, worse in others, but overall it
    works for me.

No, it doesn't, and it's a failing that should be addressed by all
    manufacturers of colour screen phones.

I can take it you've never actually used a T610 then? Digirain is one of
    the standard ringtones.

Of course my opinion is biased, but it's based on actual rather than
perceived problems. I'm not arguing with most of your points (particularly
the missed call issue), but the points regarding reception and ringtone
volume are just plain wrong IME.

I downloaded that yes. But then you start it up and it doesn't work? Asks for
'port' without specifying what kind of port. Did make a serial connection on
both Serial 1 and 2 on the phone, but that didn't work either. I wasn't very
    impressed with the Christersson stuff.

About same same if you ask me.. PC Suite works fine in itself but the
    underlying mRouter-over serial-over bluetooth is a mess.

My 3650 didn't come with PC Suite. Had to download that separately. (It may
come with PC Suite and the Opera browser now, but perhaps not in all markets)

Note that you won't get that with T630. While you can easily read a newspaper
with the light of one in total darkness, it does drain the battery very fast.
Get about 2 days or so. Maybe 3 days once I stop playing around with it so
much and turn it off at night.

    >IMHO the T610 is a damn good phone for the money.

Yes. And T630 is better, screen-wise.

GPRS e-mail and convenient is a damned close second though. And
calendar/organizer third. MSN/ICQ chat fourth.. games fifth.. WAP/Web...
    dictionary... etc, etc, etc

Err.. screen saver of 3650/3660/6600 shows number of missed calls and number
of unread messages if there are any, and time & date if there aren't.

No, it syncs contacts, calendar entries and tasks. Just not notes and e-mail.

Well they came from my PC in the first place. I'm not spending my GPRS

    manage to get it working.
the bluetooth installation somehow never install the serial port hardware.
so added in manually, tweak it, and now it works.
But how come FMA "unlock pc" when the phone come back to proximity is not
    selectable ?
