I have lost my contacts in Outlook (which I used to synchronise with my
P800). As a backup, I previously emailed myself the whole address book
from the phone. It arrived as a .vcf file with all contacts (several
hundred) in one file that looks like this:
BEGIN:VCARD
.......
.......
END:VCARD
BEGIN:VCARD
......
......
END:VCARD
Then I synchronised Outlook (which had the empty contacts list) with the
phone (hundreds of contacts) and forgot to check my synch settings. So it
wiped out the phone contact list too!
Luckily, I have my vcf file. The problem is, when I try to import it into
Outlook I only get the first card and it can't see the rest. If I separate
the individual vcards in separate files, Outlook still doesn't accept all
the data (this is probably something I should as at an Outlook conference
if there is one).
My main interest, however, is to get it back into the phone. Any ideas how
you can get a vcf file back into a P800 as the contact list?
Grateful for all suggestions.

Just copy it there with the USB connection or via Bluetooth and then
click on the .vcf file in a file manager of your choice. This should
load them back into the contacts application. I use this method for
back-up purposes.
