Finally changing to desktop p.c. - had been using Win95/Outlook 2000 combo
for my data sync for R380e - will my sync ability be just as easy on new
system and can I use USB cable for the Ericsson instead of previous serial
    cable link?

    Re: R380 Comms Suite - XP/Outlook 2002/3 compatible?

Are you serious?? Well here is my story: WinXPSP2, Outlook 2003... plus I
thought I would install the Ericsson USB cable (DCU10) as my p.c. does not
feature a serial port... all seemed to install fine (OK, Windows pointed out
that the drivers for my USB cable were not officially tested with XP) but
still installed ok (device driver reports USB device as fine etc...)....
Problem 1: The EPM program was hit and miss as to whether it would detect
the phone when connected (mostly miss)... Problem 2(nasty): If I managed to
get the phone recognised my p.c. would crash spectularly any time I try and
initiate the Synchronise function (the effect is comparable to pulling the
mains plug out of the wall while computer running.... NOT good... XP
recovers itself but reports a SERIOUS ERROR occurred which appears to be
    device related). Any suggestions?
