    Dear all,

Recently bought myself a k700i in my home country, were it is prohibited
to lock the phone to a particular provider. Now I am using this phone in
UK, where it is apparently not prohibited and each provider has its over
firmware version. If I update my firmware, then it detects the phone and
blablabla, but probably also the network provider. Is this going to lead
to the fact that my upgraded phone will now by network restricted ?? If
yes, is there any way I can prevent this from happening ??

    Many thanks,

    Wim

See More: becomes network specific after firmware upgrade (k700i) ?

No, if your phone is indeed unlocked, then a visit to an authorised SE
service centre should result in a new version of firmware. The only thing
to be wary of, is if there are any differences (versions etc..) between
your native firmware and the UK variants.
