My P910i just started to refuse to backup. When I try I get the following
message on the phone -
Program Closed
Program Backuppro~00812
B70
Reason Code USER
Reason Number 80
I have tried -
1. reinstalling PC software
2. reinstalling drivers for the desk stand.
3. tried backing up intenal memory only
But nothing seesm to work. My main concern is if the phone needs to be
re-flashed I'll probaly lose all my contacts and there is no way to get off
the phone. I have a back up done early this year but it will not have any
contacts added since that date.
Has anyone solved -
1. What the problem with the phone is
2. Can you copy a contacts file from the phone or install some software to
download the contacts? I tried to find a "contacts" file but there did not
seem to one that was readable.

Make sure the phone is connected directly to a USB-plug in your pc, not
through a hub - worked for me, anyway :-)

Tried conecting directly to USB on PC, still did not work. Strange thing was
that could see phone and copy files etc just could not back up. Eventually
uninstalled all software and reinstalled everything. Now seems to work O.K.
I suspect that the backup software must have become corrupted?

It wouldn't surprise me - the SE software's hopeless at the best of times
and it seems that an uninstall/reinstall solves a lot of problems...

We can suggest to have a look at Oxygen Phone Manager II for Symbian OS
phones ( http://www.opm-2.com/symbian/ ). Using our software you can manage
your phone's contacts, calendar, to-do list, gallery and SMS messages (
including sending SMS messages via phone). We support only bluetooth and
infrared connection for SonyEricsson P800, P900 and P910i phones.
Best regards, Maxim Vyalkov.
