Given the paucity of info on this topic, I took the chance and bought
one such unit on eBay for my T68i. It turned out to be from a mail
order joint in Singapore and costed me £7.98 inclusive of postage. It
arrived 9 days after. I note that our local weekend market also had
similar but just not for the T68i and it was $5 more.
The slim flexible circuit board/holder was labelled "King of Double
Card, GSM, Ultra Slim". It did not state the country of manufacture on
the packaging nor on the unit. The unit consisted of a very thin and
flexible plastic board which contained two cut-out sockets for the
carriers' SIM cards. This in turn was connected by a flexible ribbon to
a simulated SIM card which inserts into T68i's SIM socket. The dual SIM
holder then folds over via the flexible ribbon connector and is
sandwiched underneath the OEM battery in the lower part of the
compartment. The fit was not ideal as it caused an obvious 1mm gap on
the one side of the phone. I am Not sure if the fit will improve over
time as the ribbon gets a better fold crease, but then there's the risk
of breaking the surface conductor. I would rate the casing distortion
as obvious by look and touch (after being used to the regular feel of
the phone in your hand). But it's unlikely to cause any permanent
damage. I have thought about grinding down the inner plastic surface of
the OEM battery to improve the fit, but I'll leave that to another day
when the warranty on my phone expires.
Functionally it worked as advertised. By switching the phone off and
then back on, I was able to alternately connect with my two carriers.
It seemed to work quite reliably for all functions in my short
experience (voice, SMS and GPRS/WAP). However, I did note that one
needs to take care as to how the holder is positioned under the phone.
At one point when I first installed it, I had problems switching
between my two SIM card and the phone would just freeze when I tried to
power down from one of the carrier's SIM card. This was fixed when I
readjusted the position of the holder in the battery bay. I suspect
that it may have been related to poor contact/s with that carrier's SIM
card.
In summary, I'd say it's functional if you are not concerned about
cramming an extra piece of electronic inside the battery compartment
and the resulting phone casing distortion. I now have my regular work
SIM and a prepaid "bargain" SIM for evening calls in my phone, and able
to easily switch between the two.
Well, hope this little summary can be of assistance to someone who is
looking for such info.

Hi
This is interesting as I regularly use two sims and could do with one of=20
these. Could you provide info on where you obtained it?
TIA

Yeah, I stepped into that scenario not long ago too and hence my
exploration of this solution. But bear in mind that only one of SIM can
be connected with the network at any one time. That's just a physical
limit.
I located mine on on eBay. Seemed to be focused for the UK market as
the primary pricing was in UK Pound.
