    Hello all,

Can anyone suggest a way for me to block a person from calling me? I
have somone pestering me and I do not want to take the call and do not
want to go through the athorities etc. I have the T610 and a simple
    GSM network.

I don't know if this works on the T610, but on older phones, like my T39, it
is possible to compose your own ring signals, and if you create one that is
completely empty, that ring signal will be quiet. If you associate the
offender's phone number with that silent ring signal, at least you will not
    hear it.

Thank you for this idea it will help temporarily. I am looking more
of a way to bar them from calling me and getting a busy signal or
    something all the time.

Well, you can't block one person. However you can make a "positive" list of
persons allowed to call you. All the others will get a busy tone, or will be
forwarded, depending on your phone/network settings.

    Go to "Calls"
    Manage Calls
    Accept Call
Accept Options (All, List, No One)
    and
    Accepted List

If a non selected contact or non listed number calls you, all you'll see is
the little logo "missed call", the missed/rejected call will be shows in
either "missed calls" or "Call list" under main menu "Calls"

I forgot it, but you don't need to type the entire numbers.
you can replace numbers with *, something like 123* , instead of 123456789

So if the person who's harassing you has for ex "3" as prefix,
you can put some contacts in the phone book starting with 1 to 9, followed
    with *
    1*
    2*
    4*
    5*
    6* etc

and with this logic you can grant other persons with prefix "3" to call you

    31*
    32* etc
