It is, ascending ring takes some time to build up, normal ring is much
more rapid. I suspect they will not change this because someone has
decided that product liability issues prevent it.

The first time I check with their service center. They told me as the phone
speaker quality is so good. This is why I can hear the hissing sound !

Always-increasing ringtone? Probably as a result of lawyer-happy
"consumers" blaming SE for being startled when they held their phone
to their ear with the highest volume level selected and waited for a
    call.

Lack of blinking light? Probably as a result of lawyer-happy
"consumers" blaming SE for being kept awake at night when they put
their phone on their bedside table and weren't able to turn it over.

No battery time-left meter? Probably as a result of lawyer-happy
"consumers" blaming SE for being inconvenienced when they saw that
their phone had 10 min talktime left, then made/received a call, moved
to a poor signal area and were cut off before 10 min.

OK not all "consumers" will sue at the drop of a hat, but just go back
into the annals of this group and look at the *****ing and moaning
that people did about these very things. The language some of them
used makes you really wonder how easy they have it...
