Edit Phone no. before dialing

Anybody know the way to edit the phone no, which chosen from the phone book,
before dialing out?
The main problem is when the "+" mark was added before the country code for
the overseas phone number, the phone almost use the default IDD prefix. I
want to change it to another less expansive IDD provider.

Copy the phone book number, paste it into phone and then edit.
