Hi,
I've got a T68i and the USB data cable from Mobile Action (I think it's
coded MA-8910). I'm trying to sync with Outlook but the Mobile Phone Monitor
software refuses to detect that the phone is connected. I'm running XP Pro,
the computer detects the USB cable OK and is currently set to COM4. I've
enabled that port in the Phone Monitor software, tried reserving it as well.
It never detects the phone. I got it to work once by reinstalling all the
software - it connected and sync'd once, then never worked again. I didn't
change any of the settings in the meantime.
This is driving me nuts. I've even tried different USB cable drivers from
other manufacturers without success. Any ideas?
Thanks for any help,
Chris.

My cable (original S/// DCU-10) and my SW (XPhome) for some reason
wanted COM5. Maybe try it with this.

Thanks for the idea, but no success.
Does anyone know what port settings I should use (for baud rate, data bits,
parity, etc.)?
Chris.

Good idea, I've been thinking about buying one.. only thing I'm not sure
about is what one to get. Do they all work OK? I keep seeing MSI ones that
are called PC2PC or something, I guess I need one that emulates a serial
port but I can't seem to find enough information on the adaptors to know if
they provide that functionality or not. I don't really wanna spend much more
than £20 on one.
Cheers,
Chris.

Re: T68i & USB cable connection problems
in phone monitor try
COM1 Enable No Reserved
COM2 Enable No Reserved
All other disable No Reserved
in USB cable set COM 9 or 10
hope that'll work

All Bluetooth adapters based on the Widcomm stack support the Serial port
profile. Eg. TDK, MSI... I'm sure other's do to but I can 100% confirm these
do.
I have an MSI PC2PC USM adapter and it's very nice....
