I'm having a host of problems getting a bluetooth connection on my t40p
with native bluetooth support
I can pair no problems, and when I try to modem out, the sony shows a two-
way connection, but the syncing program and the bluetooth places don't
recognize the connection. Any suggestions??
Thanks

I recently called Sony-Ericsson Support (UK) and was surprised at the
response.
Basically, it seems as though the trick(s) are:
Under phone monitor (COM Ports), enable ports COM4 and COM5.
Under the Wireless pairing, you should see Services, ensure that "Dialup
Networking" is ticked.
That should enable a "Bluetooth Modem" to be detected and used.
This will then reside on a different COM port to the "Serial Service" used
by the normal Bluetooth connection (including synchronization).

After farting around for two days, I just got most of the way there. It
seems that IBM had a driver update for the T40p that I just couldn't get
installed correctly. I finally got that installed right, and now things
seem much better. I can actually connect to and browse the device.
Still can't modem out, but I think thats because I need to activate CSD
to be able to dial up my non-cingular ISD. Is this right??
The link gets established, and the phone says its calling the number,
and then things conk out.
