An 866 number is calling me at least twice a day. It's about 11:45AM
here, and I've already got my second call of the day.

Each time, I answer and they immediately hang up.

I did a google search on the phone number, and apparently it's Fido's
marketing subcontractor. I've called customer service, and they say
they've taken me off the list, but it'll take a month to take effect.

    That was two weeks ago.

I might not last a month before I go completely insane.

    ARGH.

So, any ideas? Other than finding the marketing company's head office
    and going postal?

Well, I'd target Fido and not the marketing company. Fido controls the
rules and could fire the marketing company immediately for causing harm
to Fido's reputation and exposing Fido to criminal harassment charges,
    if they so desired.

    Fido obviously doesn't care.

I think I'll call Fido and mention harassment next time I get a call
from the marketing company. It doesn't matter what their process is:
they have a way to short circuit it.
