    Hi everybody,

    I've got Motorola C550(camera & MMS inside).
The phone is USB-connected to PC and the current program
BVRP mobile PhoneTools v2.19e is registered.
My PC can communicate with the phone: send, receive, call,
    email etc etc.
However the accompanying programs: MMS Studio, Melody Studio,
Image Studio MMS Browser have not been initiated after the
    installation.
Even if I can start them by running MMCenter.exe directly
from subdirectory the communication in such case between
the phone & PC seems to be dead.

Does anybody know what is the reason to that: USB-cable,
    too old USB-driver, MMS-programs or Motorola C550?

    Thanks in advance
    /Mac

    Re: WARNING FOR MOTOROLA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi!

Maybe it was overreaction in my situation.
However after live-update to v2.20 the transfer
of ringtones & pics is still impossible.
Are we talking about the same program?
My program is BVRP Motorola mobile PhoneTools v2.16
multilingual ca 450 MB on CD.
Each time after installation I updated this program
    to v2.20 with BVRP LiveUpdate.
Is there another simple version or program to download?
Which model do you use? Is it also Motorola C550?
I've checked detect.inf and there is no Motorola
C550 driver instead for this model uses C450 driver
and the program shows a virtual mobile which is 450
with no media tools for transfer like: MMS, ringtones, wallpaper.
I can force the accompanying pograms: MMS Studio, Melody Studio,
Image Studio to start by running MMCenter.exe directly from subdirectory
but the communication between the phone & PC seems to be out of order.
All others utilities like phone, transfer of SMS, phonebook are OK!
Does anybody know what is the reason to that: USB-cable,
non compatible USB-driver, BVRP Motorola mobile phonetools,
    some defaults in my mobile?
Could you please send detect.inf file to my email address.
    Thanks in advance.

    Best regards
    Mac

Re: Motorola C550 & MPhoneTools problem...

if what you want to do is in fact to download the pictures from the
motorola c550 to a pc, here is the solution:

1 - go to the spanish website motclub.com
    2 - download the p2k drivers
    3 - download p2kman

p2kman will recognize all your files in your mobilephone and you
will be able to download and upload pictures... (and that's coool :-)

if you have some troubles, you can read the comments on the site:
    http://www.techtree.com/techtree/jsp...p?storyid=3937

where I wrote the solution (Tim from Paris on 28/02/2004 10:45 PM)
and there is other comments that may help you.
