I would like to remove the number now that I have sold the phone on eBay.
Is there any way to do this with MPT or any other tools?

See More: how do I remove "my number" from my old v60

You can do a master reset from the phone itself. See the manual.

I already did that. It removed everything EXCEPT "my number"

Menu:Settings:Status:MyPhoneNumber then Edit - see pg 61 of the manual:
    http://commerce.motorola.com/consume...ml/manual.html

I already went there. It lets me edit the name there (I don't have one).
It only lets me view "my number", it does not let me edit it.

Towards the back of the manual for the v60t (pg 136 if ATT or 149 if generic) there is a page called 'Programming Instructions' which tells how to change the phone number or MIN. You'll need to know the carrier code to do this.

Re: how do I remove "my number" from my old v60

Glad to hear it worked. I have a v60t and a v600 that I need to clear out and sell myself.
