Hello-
I've had the Motorola T720 for some time now, and have recently purchased
the hands free kit (professional install)for my vehicle. The phone is a
dual band GSM 850/1900 MHz phone. What kind of glass mount antenna should I
get? A guy @ Motorola tells me I don't need an external antenna; a guy I
work with got a hands free kit and got an external antenna as well. Any
success stories w/ the hands free kit and/ or external antenna? I work a
lot in the mountains of East Kentucky. Thanks in advance-

Re: T720 hands free kit
You must add an external ant. The professional install hands free kit makes
contact with the external plug on the rear of the phone thereby disabling
the short stubby on the T720. Without an external antenna wired in, you
have no antenna.
The type of ext antenna is your choice.

Re: T720 hands free kit
Steve:
That's what I thought. The Motorola guy "assured" me that I did not need
one.
I've heard that the Antenna Specialists APDM928 is a good antenna. Any
suggestions?
Thanks-

Re: T720 hands free kit
http://www.canyonriver.com has a really good selection of antennas. The
Antenna Specialists works fine and is on both of our cars. You will need to
get one with the min-uhf connector, Canyon River tells you which one you
need as you poke around the site.
