I have MPT v4 and a razr V3xx. WinXP where can I get a driver package for
    this?
Also is there a program that will allow me to get the contcts from my V557
and put them on my razr?

    Thanks,

On the disk that came with it. Install first then plug in the USB,

The phone has a setting as to whether it loks like a phone and a modem (to
systems with the software loaded) or just a humble disk drive (to those that
don't) so that you can up/down load photos, tunes etc.

Well you have the manual for that, but in general

    Put SIM in V557.
    Copy phone memory to SIM.
    Put SIM in V3xx
    Copy SIM memory to phone.

    Re: Drivers?

FYI: not all carriers will sell their phones with drivers (Verizon specifically) since they don't want you to realize that you can access the phone with a computer. However, they will sell them separate as part of the music essentials kit. You never need to pay for drivers for the motorola phones.

edit.. just realized that you were probably referring to the drivers included with MPT. As as addtional FYI, the drivers that get installed with MPT can be bugged out and cause the phone to fail to connect when using OTHER applications such as p2k commander, p2k seem, motorola software update, and bitpim. I've heard of a lot of people having to reinstall drivers from Motodev to get the phone to connect properly again.

Motorola Drivers can be downloaded for free from MOTODEV. after registering at that site as a developer (which is free to do) you can search the site for "usb handset drivers". This will bring up a list of links and the one with the drivers will be obviously entitled as such. They provide drivers for both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows operating systems.

I also know of some other sites that are currently hosting driver versions 3.3.0 and 3.5.0 for 32-bit operating systems. These are available for download without registration.

Motorola Driver Installation software is all inclusive of phones sold at the time the package was released and is NOT model specific.
