I read somewhere that nextel is suppose to be coming out with a dual band phone that is iden/gsm. Anyone know if this is still coming out and what gsm frequency is it going to be on? Are they going to offer as gsm for european use?

the iden/gsm band phone has been out for a long time...it's the i2000 and i2000+ phones. it works on iden technology in the US and other places that use iden like canada, mexico, etc and uses the gsm in Europe! the phone that you are probably thinking about it the i930 which will be coming out at the end of this year! it will replace the i2000 series, will have microsoft smartphone software on it, and will have 2 color lcds. it will work the same way that the i2000 worked
