I filed a complaint with Nextel on an area that had service, but has
degraded. They found it was between two cell sites, and said there
was nothing they could do about it. Has anyone has better luck with
Nextel on getting coverage holes fixed that used to work?

Can you post a little more information as is the problem inside a building?
Is it inside your home?

To be more specific, the area of I-91 in Connecticut between exits 35
and 36 has a spot that used to work 2-3 months ago, and now, the
signal fades and the call eventually drops. I took a signal reading
with my phone i530, (pound, star, menu, right arrow, tx status), and
gave them a signal report. They said that the frequencies cannot
overlap, and the area is between two towers.
Also, within the last day, I've had trouble receiving and placing
calls in West Hartford. Maybe the cell is overloaded. Most of the
time the phone rings, but sometimes it goes straight to voicemail.
Sometimes the phone says re-dialing when making a call.
Can they do anything to upgrade their towers, or are they limited
because they only have a handful of SMR frequencies?

Hasn't there been some recent construction along that stretch? Could be
that somebody put something up between the highway and the tower that has
affected coverage.
I've actually had pretty good luck with reporting dead spots. They fixed
one within about three weeks of letting them know about it in the Denver
area.

I tried this on my i80s but it wouldn't work once I got to the right arrow.
Does this work just on the 3-digit phones?

Re: Coverage Complaint
I believe it only works on the three digit phones. You can look around the
internet, they do publish the codes for other phones.

Re: Coverage Complaint
It works the same on every Nextel phone no matter what series.

IIRC it doesn't work on the i1000. It does on the i1000+ though.
