    If I swap a SIM card into another phone,
    what goes with it ?
    I have an i860, and sometimes my wife wants to use my phone to take
    pictures,
    but I need to keep my phone # for work,
    so we swap sims and I'll carry her phone.

    What about all the Java apps or other "stuff" on the phone.
    Is that all in some kind of flash memory,
    and the only info carried on the SIM merely relates to the phone -
    phone number, contacts, ringtones, what else ??

    The only things on a sim are the service and the phone book. Everything
    else is in the flash memory, however some things will not work properly if
    your wife's phone is from an earlier platform, such as the i90. Keep in
    mind, you can usually go up a platform with a sim, but you cannot go down;
    meaning you can usually take an i90 sim and put it in an i730 or i830 etc
    and have the phone work (but you lose features), but the phone will not work
    if you take a sim from an i860 or i730 etc and put it into an i90.

    if you put a sim from an i730 or any falcon Phone and put in a condor phone
    (i90, i60) the phone will work but you will not have a working phonebook.
