I'm new to nextel and to the blackberry. I've managed to set it up
where my earthlink email gets forwarded to the blackberry.
However, I've got the spam blocker set at its highest level. Whenever
I receive an email from a sender who's not in my address book,
earthlink's spamblocker sends me an email notifying me of this attempt.
Then, I have to enable the new sender by clicking the appropriate
option within the spamblocker email. I've discovered that when I
attempt to do this from the blackberry, it takes me to earthlink.
However, before I can accomplish the authorization I get a message
saying that java has to be enabled.
Can java be enabled on this phone? Or is it simply a feature beyond
the abilities of the blackberry 7520?
Finally, the blackberry does not know its own phone number. When I go
to "status" it lists the Direct Connect number on the screen. But the
phone number is listed as "unknown". Does anybody have a clue as to
why?
If you have an answer - or even a good guess - as to these points I'll
genuinely appreciate your help.
Thanks!

1. Yes, it can do java.
2. Call your Blackberry. It needs to register an incoming call to grab the
phone number.

Re: Can you enable Java on Blackberry 7520?
Zman,
Indeed, that worked. Thanks!
I hope I'm not strainin' a friendship... but can you tell me:
a) How to enable java?
b) What is a PIN and where do I get one?
I've attempted to set up a blackberry account. But it asks me for a
PIN and the IMEI.
I found the IMEI in the invoice. But not the PIN.
So close... yet so far away.

Re: Can you enable Java on Blackberry 7520?
Java is already enabled, the apps should load on the main screen....
Here's how to find your PIN:
Select Options (wrench) on the main screen, scroll down to Status. The PIN
is 4th from the top. Verify the IMEI from the invoice with the IMEI on this
screen.
Good luck

May I ask how I enable the spam blocker on my 7520?
