I have had i550,i700,i770 and the i1000 Nextel phones.I also had Sprint
Sanyo and Nokia phones when I was using Sprint PCS.I do not think I ever
broke a Nextel/Motorola phone in all that time.In my work I drop them
alot, from 1 to 25 feet at times. My Nokia and Sanyo sets did not hold up so
well.
Outside of my i1000 flip cover getting loose I have not really broken
much.Anyone had similar experiences?
Wayne
*still using a i1000+

I'm about to break my second one in 2 years; I'm switching to an i90
as soon as I can find one I can afford. :-}

Re: Industrial Strength cell phones?
I must admit Motorola typically makes a very tough phone. My i90 is holding
up pretty well.

I too am working on switching to the i90.I used a demo for a couple days and
I preferred it over the i1000+.

Re: Industrial Strength cell phones?
I have dropped my I90 several times and have had no problems with it ever.--

Re: Industrial Strength cell phones?
Definitely watch e-bay. I got my wife the i90 for $150, brand new,
plus no 1-year commitment!

I agree eBay is the way to go if you already have a SIM based phone.

Re: Industrial Strength cell phones?
My i700 took many drops from over 35' and only knocked the battery off...
Snapped it back on, and good to go.
My kids are now using the i700, and I picked up a i95cl which I love with
full size keyboard attachment.

But will it survive plummeting from the top of a 15' ladder? ;P
