A friend of mine has a Nokia 6610. I have a 3300 (the one that looks like an
Ngauge but isnt) Mine came with a data cable which i needed to download the
music my phone holds (64mb) I tried to use my cable to upload some ringtones
/ games onto his phone but even though the connector is the same, the PC
will not recognise his phone as a hard drive.
Is there anyway around this? Or would he have to get a dedicated 6610 data
cable?

This is probably off topic, another friend has nice looking LG 7050 which
came with a cable to download photos. Can this cable also be used to upload
tones and pics?
