Can anyone help with the problem I am having with my Nokia 6600 ?
I can send files to and from my pc by Bluetooth (Belkin BT8001).
The pc and 6600 are paired.
I go through the serial port connection, get the usual error messages that
the remote device has closed the connecton (Which apparently is normal) and
the phone connects back but then after a few seconds it disconnects.
When I click on Mrouter, the only option is Infra red connection, which I
don't have.
I've followed every guide I can find but never get the bluettoth as an
option in Mrouter.
Any advice ?
Thanks in advance.
Matt

Re: Bluetooth problem on Nokia 6600
bluetooth is not an option. In the Belkin software you assign the adapter a
com port service and you use this in the Mrouter. I find that the initial
com port which is started with the software is the one to use.

Re: Bluetooth problem on Nokia 6600
Hi Paul,
The serial connection shows as com 5.
But when I go into mRouter there are no com ports, only Infrared available.

I had the exact same problem. I "fixed" it by disabling my internal modem in
Hardware Options. As soon as I did the COM ports appeared in mRouter.
Luckily I'm on Broadband so I don't need the modem, I don't know what the
solution is if you need the modem and bluetooth.

Thankyou very much comfortably numb.
You have just answered the question I have wasted 2 days almost solid
searching for.
I disabled my modem and everything seems to be working now.
Luckily I am also on broadband so don't need the modem anyway.
If you live anywhere near the West midlands in England, I'd happily buy you
a drink or 10.
Now if only you could tell me why my 6 in 1 card reader doesn't work I'd be
the happiest person on the plane but then I'd be on the wrong forum.
Anyone know why a filter driver is invalid on XP ?

Re: Bluetooth problem on Nokia 6600
r u sure you've installed the drivers right....I have a Belkin BT8001 too
and it gave me 14 bluetooth com ports on my WinMe system when I first
installed it.....
better go to Belkin and download the drivers....
and dont forget ....install Belkin FIRST...pair the device....then install
PC Suite....
see if that helps...
cheers

Common problem, on one of my machines i could not see any BT com ports in
mRouter, however, on another machine it was fine.
Only workaround is to disable modem, should do the trick.
